About Me
Raised in Roanoke, Virginia, I grew up in a small close-knit family, and I am thankful my parents raised me with love, compassion, and respect for others. I believe everyone has a gift to share with the world, and I believe mine is making a difference in someone’s life. From the time, I started my first retail job at age 16 working at Leggett department store, I knew that I had a passion for helping others. Throughout the years, I continued to work in management in the retail field. I attended Bauder Fashion College studying Interior design and marketing. After having my children, I decided that I would also benefit from some studies in early childhood education. As a parent, you can never learn to much!
In 1981, I accepted a management position at the newly opened Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake, Virginia. As a daughter of an Air Force Veteran, my mother warned me to not marry a military man before I left. Not only did I fall in love with the Hampton Roads area, I met my husband, Lou – a Navy Special Warfare operator. Thirty-three years and many adventures later, our daughter, Rachel, and son, Anthony, are grown and it is time for me to continue my path.
I enjoy the outdoors; gardening, fishing, walking and riding bikes. In 2014, I became a cancer survivor, and credit that to the support, prayers, and great doctors. It was a good time to examine my life goals and move into the rewarding career of real estate. My husband and I have bought and sold our homes here and our other duty stations we lived at. I have always had an interest in the real estate world. I have watched the Hampton roads area grow through the years, and am looking forward to serving my community.
I truly enjoy working with people and strive to make each experience successful, educational, and an enjoyable memory for you to take home. Hampton Roads is a beautiful place to live with many adventures to explore. Let me be your guide in real estate to show you all there is to offer.
